The future:
The complete digital/digital-analogue system
Time coherent analog loudspeakers
We employ also the steepest possible filters so as to clearly define which chassis reproduces which pitch.
We are demonstrating the proof of this kind of technology in publicating the step response of our speaker systems.
For avoiding housing resonances from the very beginning and for decreasing diffraction and reflection at the
housing, we take extremely intricate measures in housing technology. Every step, every measure for optimization
is empirically scrutinized so as to adjust physical theory to what is heard in reality.
Time coherent digital loudspeakers
Beside our classic line of time coherent loudspeakers, we are developing a full-digital 192 kHz speaker system.
Digital components
Digital components, such as CD transport and digital amplifiers, communicate via digital signals. One basic
problem in signal transmission between digital components is jitter. Jitter is understood to mean fluctuations
in the precision of transfer clock and causes, among others, nervous music reproduction and a loss of auditory
spaciousness. All of our digital components communicate with extremely low jitter. Instead of the conventional
jitter-prone S/PDIF interface, based on electrical conductors, they communicate exclusively on an alternative
ultra-low-jitter interface on the basis of optical conductors.
Digital amplifier
Public funding was approved for the innovative approach of our remote-controllable digital amplifier, in which
DA conversion will take place right at the loudspeaker. There exists no longer any kind of analogue cable.
The music data is transported digitally right up to the speaker. Even if the data has to travel an extremely long
distance, its quality is not affected. The unique procedure of transporting data across four fibre optics ensures
that signals are transmitted correctly, unaltered and with the highest quality.
Audio-PC
A specially programmed RAM player software enables bit-perfect readout of digital music data stored on hard disks
so as to obtain optimum sound from these storage means. Audio-PC can be operated easily and intuitively by a tablet
remote control.
The RAM player software takes the digital data directly from thehard disk, a USB flash drive, or the network (server) and
transfers them at 100% to the RAM, from where they are then reproduced in real time.
The Audio-PC uses a Linux-command line-OS with real-time kernel as operating system. Communication is completely
jitter-free – for an extraordinary music experience without inaccuracies and deferrals; for an absolutely precise,
spatial and natural sound that enchants all senses and triggers emotions.
